We arrived a bit early, and were allowed to check in about 1 hour early, which was nice. The property sits facing the beach, which is great. At the front door, we were greeted by broken glass, a no-no on the beach and beach areas. Upon entering, my wife noticed a hole in the wall from a reclining chair that hadn't been fixed. Also the sofa had a small stain on it. The bed was super comfy, and we slept well in it. The next morning, when we showered, the shower door didn't close all the way, resulting in much water on the floor. With a limited number of towels, we cleaned it up. Since we had pets with us, I did my best to fix the door instead of having a person come and fix it and disturb my pets. The A/C struggled to keep up with the TX heat, and at times the room felt damp and muggy.

With some more TLC from the property management, this could easily be a 5 star property. They charged 5 star prices, and the location tells you why. However, I would be hard-pressed to leave anything over 4 stars. Maybe if you gave me more than 1 towel or washcloth for a 4 night stay, but I'm not crazy about using the same ones for 4 straight days.

Room 106 needs to have repairs before continuing to rent. The shower has black mold in it, the handle on the faucet in the kitchen keeps falling off, the seal under the front door needs to be replaced, you can see light coming in and the refrig/freezer was finally replaced on the last day we were there. The office did credit us back for the refrig inconvenience and we did appreciated that. Overall the unit just needs
some repairs

We have stayed at El Constante many times. This was by far the worst experience, in regards to the rooms we rented. They were dirty, unkept, the door looked like a dog had chewed on it, there were holes in the walls. The cabinets in the bathroom are falling apart. There was dust on the walls from coming out of the AC duct. After being there for 15 minutes, our baby’s feet were black from walking around in the room. The dishwasher smelt like a dead animal in it. For the price they charge in the prime season, they sure should have this place looking better. The view and beach access made it worth it, but the rooms need serious work. Would love to submit pictures.

Couldn’t have asked for a better view. The condo needs to be updated especially the shower tiles and couch but all in all it was a great place to stay and I will be back. The condo was clean and well equipped. The reservation people were awesome and customer service oriented. Hopefully they will replace the tiles by the time I come back. Thank you for a great stay.

The room was fine. The noise from the people upstairs was ridiculous. Luckily they came on our last night. The bed was comfy. Having to punch a million buttons every time you wanna open the door gets old fast. The couch is awful and tvs are small. Some cheap things could be done to make it much better. The location is fantastic. That is the main thing we cared about.

The location and views were the highlight. However, the condo was in need of maintenance issues. The bed was so worn and uncomfortable that it caused back pain. We have done a lot of traveling and stayed in many hotels, AirBNB’s, etc. and have never had a bed this bad. When we contacted Padre Escapes, we were not given any options to improve this major issue. To say quality control of this unit is poor is an understatement. Furthermore, the ceiling fan in the bedroom would only work in reverse so only blew the hot air from the ceiling down. The proposed solution was a box fan from the office which was sub-par at best and required us moving in extra furniture to accommodate the fan. The shower head was also terrible, and water leaked out of the shower and soaked the bath mat every time. I had stayed at this complex previously with a good experience but probably won’t again due to the lack of necessary amenities and lack of customer service!

Great location, hidden away from traffic and busyness. Walk out view of sand and gulf. We had a super windy and a little rainy weekend so not as much sitting and enjoying the beach and view as planned. Nice pool, decent living room and functional kitchen. Good shower and lighting in bath. One drunk hanging around parking lot our first night, otherwise people were friendly.

Great communication, fantastic location, easy experience, tired property. The state of the unit does not align with the cost, even with the prime spot on the beach. The management company could deliver a masterclass on great and responsive service, communication, and process and I'd recommend them, but some investment needs to be made to uplevel this unit considerably.

We always stay at El Constante when we go to the beach - 7 years now. 106k hasn’t been one we’ve stayed before but the only one of the beachfront that was available and allowed a pet. It was beautifully decorated and very clean. One thing to know is you need binoculars to see the tv from the bed, yes it’s tiny. Plenty of wall for a larger one. Another, if you are taller than 5 feet, you will strain in the shower because the head is very low. There was no blow dryer, in 7 years I’ve never taken my blow dryer because the room always had it - it would’ve been nice to know. And as we were leaving and taking trips to the car my husband got locked out because the code deactivated BEFORE 11am. Luckily I was inside. That made it hard to pack the car because We both couldn’t come and go. Not sure if the time change messed this up but should look into it.

The room itself was great but a few small things could make it as amazing as the other beachfront rooms. Thank you! See you in 2024

Beautiful condo located right on the beach. We had a great stay. The unit is in great shape considering its age. Only problem was on the the last night of our stay the AC decided to stop working. Luckily it was November and a cold front had moved in so we just opened windows to cool off. We have stayed at this complex several times before and shall probably return. Pet friendly is a plus for us (except for the rude guest who did not pick up after their dog on the sidewalk :( Lovely decor. Nice mattress. Everything worked in the kitchen. They need a large boil pot, though. I wish the weather had cooperated, but it rained most of our time there. Highly recommended. Many thanks.

Condo has a great view. The AC in living room rattled constantly. Return air vent had some orange looking mold. Fold out Sofa was very uncomfortable. Construction going on outside bedroom wall, could not nap.

It was great and relaxing. This was our 5th year to stay here and we loved it. There were some minor issues, TV didn't work in bedroom - there should be guides somewhere for the remotes. Also, the couch is a little worn which was tough for sleeping. Other than that we love the unit and will definitely stay there again.

All though the unit was clean, it's worn-out and dated. The bathroom shower is below standards and the refrigerator is very loud. On the bright side, the bedroom mattress was comfortable, and the A/C worked great! Overall, it's about location, location, location!

We got a text that there was going to be construction above two neighboring rooms. In fact there was construction each day above our room. We let this pass as it did stop late afternoon each day. On the last day I had some medical issues that were enhanced by the noise. We asked for a refund for that day and was told we would get a call from a manager. The person we talked to could not approve that request. We never did get a call or credit for that night. Also we never got a call from management

We enjoyed our stay in 106! This is the only beachfront condo that allows dogs and it was just perfect for our little December getaway! The condo is cozy and had everything we needed to make us comfortable. The great thing about staying in a beachfront unit is even when the weather is bad, you can still enjoy the beach by sitting on the little patio or just sitting inside and looking out the window. We will definitely be back.

We have recently discovered El Constante, a condo with a beachfront where we can bring our dog too! The only thing I would change if I lived there would be a quieter fridge as well as HVAC, add a garbage disposal and a faucet in the kitchen that rotates better. The best thing is being able to bring our pet. This is the only beachfront that does and we thank you for that.

The location is perfect and pet friendly. however, the cleanliness of the place was not up to standards, pet hair in the shower, carpet and couch. A pillow had blood stains on it. Used Clorox wipes and Microban to clean all door handles. The refrigerator door was almost black. We left the place cleaner than we got it. my mother who is 84, had numerous bites from the couch. The hot tub was dirty until we asked the desk to get someone to clean it. Also, a lot of children in the hot tub under 12. Will call the property management team. Would stay again, if this would be rectified.

We absolutely enjoyed our stay. The condo was very roomy, clean, walk-in shower was nice, we had everything we needed for the kitchen, the bed was very comfy, loved the ocean view, pool was very nice. We loved the location of this beach front condo! We have stayed on this property several times but this is a first time facing the beach. It was safe to leave our beach stuff on the porch so we werent dragging extra sand in. The one thing I would say is to bring your own cooking utensils. The ones there are very flimsy and are difficult to use. Also the ice maker takes a good day to produce one thing of ice so use the ice trays that are provided.

We rent a lot of properties all over the U.S. and this was one of the best we've ever stayed in! You can't beat the location of the condo--just steps to the beach. A patch of grass for our doggies. On the first floor. Perfect! The condo is comfortable and has everything you'd need. In spite of the contract saying no rescheduling, Padre Escapes allowed us to reschedule our trip as we were originally going to be there the week Texas experienced the terrible snow and cold weather with power outages. So grateful to the staff at Padre Escapes! I'd highly recommend staying in unit 106K at El Constante!

We really enjoyed our stay. The weather was cold but nice for a beach fire and we loved being right on the beach! The pool was heated too! It was a very clean rental and it was welcoming with the heat on and the tv playing jazz when we walked in. It was great and we will stay there again.

We stayed in the off season so it wasn’t crowded. There were a few more there on the weekend but still wasn’t bad. Great view of the beach. What more do you want? Step out the door and you’re only steps away from the beach. Plenty of room for the two of us. My husband says the bed was too soft, It was fine for me. The couch was nice and comfy. Could of used a cookie sheet in the kitchen. Overall we really enjoyed our time there and would definitely stay again.

Was much more impressed with how clean the room was compared to my previous stay in October. The room itself is in pretty good condition. I was impressed. As always, a wonderful and great escape to the coast.

Two minor suggestions for management team:

Repair shower door/seal.
Find sheets that fit the king sized bed.

As a single parent this rental was perfect. Great price, location, and size for family of four with a pet. The kids played on the beach and in heated pool. The full size kitchen and stove a plus when vacationing on a budget. We will stay here again!

We've stayed at El Constante for over 30 years, can't beat the location. Love the easy beach access, unobstructed views, and the boardwalk. This time our unit was not as clean as I would have liked and hoped during this Covid time. Nothing major, just hairs here and there. And we had to buy dish soap. Unit could use a bit of updating but since we had a pup with us we couldn't be picky; I wish more units allowed pets.

When we first arrived 106 smelled like a cat had peed in the middle of the floor. We went to the store and got febreeze and candles and cleaning stuff. My son and daughter-in-law went and stayed in 107. My husband sprayed the air intake with febreze by the next day most of it was gone he also found a bag full of towels in the bathroom closet that had cat pee all over them he tied the bag back up sprayed it and we told the management they came and got it. I love the location and after we got rid of the smell or at least most of it we had a really good time. If we stay here again I will have management check the room before we check in.

Great beach front location. Clean room and no complaints about our stay! Only bad experience was the check in process. We were aware of the potential of an after 4pm check in since extra cleaning for COVID, but it ended up being way after 4pm since their notification system was “acting up”. So our room was ready, but we were never notified.

It was nice to open the door and see the beach, and it was nice having the kitchen for cooking meals for our three night stay. Throughout the day, there was a crew directly behind our bedroom window. The complex is still undergoing repairs for damage from Hurricane Harvey that hit the coast two years ago. I had called two other Condos close by that told me it would be very loud at their locations, like jackhammer loud. The person I booked with for El Constante assured me it would not be noisy. It was extremely loud and not restful at all. The construction crew were redoing the balconies and walls of the units directly behind mine. The swimming pool was half draped with tarps to catch debris coming off walls being redone. The hot tub was not in good shape and the only time I checked, the temperature was extremely hot. The bedroom was cramped, and the bed frame extended at the base by a foot, causing me to receive two huge bruises as I was walking past to put my clothes in the closet. It has a very narrow path between the bed and wall to get to closet. The shower could use a thorough cleaning. The blankets in the closet smelled and need washing or replacing. For $200/night, I don’t feel it was worth it.

We stayed with our two little ones at this beachfront condo. You have to get rooms 101-107 to be able to walk straight out your door and onto the beach. With 2 kids under 2, it was a little walk to the beach. With older kids, the walk is super easy; nothing stood in between you and the beach. It was nice sitting on the patio with a drink. We would stay here again.

We couldn’t ask for a more perfect place for our short vacation. The condo was decorated well, without being cluttered. The bed was comfortable, as was the living room furniture. Above all, the condo itself and the entire facility was immaculate. Add in the front row view of the beach, and we couldn’t have asked for more.

We have been to El Constante once before however this time we stayed in this beach front condo. What a great view, not to mention a tiny walk and you're on the beach. The condo stock was very sparse, no toaster, very few glasses or cookware, and one tiny hand towel for our 4 day stay? Come on, stock this place better! Check in and check out is a breeze with Padre Escapes, you just need a few more amenities.

We had a great time. Condo was clean and nice. Beach was not our style. Do not like cars driving but this was a new experience for us. On the best two days there was some pool maintenance going on that would have been nice to know about. Very loud leaf blowers made it impossible to relax. We won’t be back to Texas but would recommend this unit. Loved the beach decor.

The condo was beautiful, well kept, clean & comfortable. All just as was shown on line. The location was perfect, right on the beach as described. Check in & out was easy & very accommodating. The only worry I had was there was no contact or confirmation other than the original email confirmatio at the time of booking. I started to worry 2 days before check in as I hadn't heard anything and I started to doubt all was well. I called the VRBO# but they said all they could tell me was the owner would contact me a few hours before check in to give me check in info. That is what happened, it just would have been nice to know that a head of time.

The location was absolutely prefect. And being on the ground floor with our dog was a plus and made getting out to the sea wall boardwalk and beach a breeze! The unit was comfortable and perfect for us a just a couple. The pool and hot tub were an added bonus. The unit could use some fresh pots/pans/cooking utensils and bath mats. The checkin/out process was super efficient and the staff were top notch. A great mini vacay!
